Halloween Costumes

Halloween is coming. I need to be prepared! I started my children costumes. Here is a preview of what I will be sewing for them.
One of them is going to be a pirate.

I can see that I will be in the sewing machine for a long time, as the pattern has LOTS of parts: pants, vest, coat and shirt. Take a look.

I chose some of the fabrics:
Plain cotton for the shirt
Fancy velvet for the vest
Brown "velvet" for the coat.

The other one is going to be a bird.

Again, I will be in the sewing room for a long time. Take a look.

I am still selecting the fabrics for this one. The head is going to be made of some very shiny fabric scraps that I have. It will be fun.
I will eventually be selling these pattern on my EBay store. I have some patterns in the store right now (patterns that I bought some time ago, but are too small for my children). The patterns were not even taken from the envelope. If I sell them, I can buy more patterns :-)

Update on the Ka-Bloom Quilt

The quilt is almost done. I already quilted using monofilament thread. I still need to clean it up (cut ALL the threads), add a sleeve, and sew the binding. It has been fun doing it.

This is how the quilt looks now.

Here are some pictures of details in the quilt.
